I just had another phone screening and apparently a page fault is the area of memory where SQL keeps things it can’t hold in the buffer cache. And page faults\sec is the counter that shows you how many items were put into that bucket.
Can you believe I’m getting paid to do this?
Speaking of interviews, if I hear one more candidate tell me they have experience with SQL 2003…
