About a month ago, Sean and I submitted a total of 7 abstracts to PASS, between the two of us. My first inclination that results were out today was a text: “They didn’t accept any of my submissions to PASS.” I thought, whoa, then there’s no way mine made it. (Hey, they guy’s an MVP with 7 more years of SQL experience than I have. Plus, his abstracts really really rock.)
One of mine made it.
In all fairness, we each have a session marked as Alternate, so we may both still be speaking at PASS. But my session, “T-SQL Brush-up: The Best Things You Forgot You Knew About SQL Code”, was accepted.
Whoa. DUUUUUDE. Whoa.
I’m sure in some distant future I’ll look back and be all, geez I can’t believe I was so bowled over by that….but right now, it’s a very cool, very very big deal.
Congratulations Jen, that is awesome! So wish I could be there to see it.
Thanks, Ryan!
Dont be surprised, Ive seen both of yall present, both rather good I might add. When deciding about what sessions to accept its often times as much about your topic/competetion as it is about who you are (I hope that makes sense)
That *is* a big deal! Congrats! I hope to be there to see you present 🙂
Allen,
I understand that, I do. Still reasonably stunned, but that’s just me.
Oh, and thanks!
