Dear Readers,
Today’s blog shall be entirely stream-of-consciousness, which is to say, I don’t know exactly what I’m going to talk about. Call it an experiment in midweek blogging (when I’m not hyped about any particular topic).
Right now at work, I have some queries to put together for an SSRS report; some transaction log backups to set up; an SSIS package to modify; and performance to track and troubleshoot. I’m most looking forward to the performance tuning, and the SSIS work should net me a blog post for Monday.
The other day, Adam Machanic (Twitter) mentioned that more people should know the APPLY operator, so there you are: go read about it.

I heard yesterday that the February 24Hours of PASS recordings are up. I think I’ll catch a couple of the sessions I missed the first time around!
Sean’s ”How to Curse in an Interview” (NSFW for language) is up on the MidnightDBA Events page! We had an excellent good time with this one, and the vast majority of the class gave it very high marks.
