PASS Summit 2011 Day -2 (Monday), part 2

Today was a good day. I posted about the first part of today earlier, and we left off there with a little on-campus marketing. For the ride back into town, Kalen Delaney (blog, twitter) was kind enough to drie us AND give a truly wonderful interview. Let no one say the woman can’t multitask!

Back at base camp, we had a lot of options for the evening. Sean and I walked with our good friend Nic cain (blog , Twitter) and a couple of others down to the networking dinner, but then bailed when we saw the line to get in.  Sean and I hit the MVP party while Nic regrouped, then we all marched up to Tango (www.TangoRestaurant.com) for a First Timer’s dinner with our three groups.

Evening-full-of-win.  We had somewhere around 22 of the 30 First Timers show, and a couple of extras!  I’d venture to say a great time was had by all – lots of talk and laughter, great food, and the waitstaff at Tango was very helpful!

A great big shiny shoutout to my Twitter first timers @DBAWayne , @Sqlballs , @formulaet1, @JohnClarkTx , @DaveMcLghln , and @elmatjon, and also to @SQLLocks, who I suspect will be a Person of Great Interest in the SQL community in no time at all. Assuming, of course, he’s not already there. To everyone else that attended (and whose Twitter handles I clearly don’t have), big shiny shoutouts to you too.

Now it’s late-late-late, and morning comes early-early. I’ll post this, finish my  thoustanteenth throat lozenge of the evening, and hit the hay. Happy days, y’all…
