What I’m looking forward to at SQL Sat Dallas

SQL Saturday Dallas is coming up right soon, on June 1, 2019…

…at UTDallas, Naveen Jindal School of Mgmt, 800 West Campbell Road, Richardson, Texas, Richardson, Texas, 75080.

Now, it’s one thing to say that an event is coming up. It’s another thing entirely to tell you what I’m looking forward to! With pictures!!

Jen’s SQL Sat Dallas Highlights

Precons: I won’t be able to attend a precon, but you should check them out if you haven’t.

Precons are like this, but with words.

Sessions: Glancing over the day’s schedule, I can see that my 8:30am Beginning Admin class is up against Kalen Delaney’s 8:30am Concurrency class. Bummer that I’ll miss her session, but you, at least have the choice between us! (And several others.)

If you do happen to pick Kalen’s class, you’d do well to hang out in that room for the rest of the morning. Superstar Bob Ward presents “Inside SQL Server 2019”, followed by superstar Allan Hirt with “Modern Infrastructure Fundamentals for SQL Server”.

I won’t pretend to plan your whole schedule for you, but I will point out Sean McCown’s “Beginning Powershell for DBAs 1.0”, at 3:45pm.

We all take notes on paper notebooks at these things, right? Right guys?

Sponsors: I will, of course, be making the rounds around the sponsor tables.  Some of them might be interesting. And/or have good stickers.

Instant exhibitor area: just add sponsors.

People, though, are the prime draw to any SQL Saturday. Come out and meet a few of them.

Networking, just like this! (Fire not included.)
