Most “superheroes” are nothing of the sort. They’re weird, neurotic creatures who do big things DESPITE lots of self-defeating habits and self-talk.

Sounds familiar.
Today’s question – from a person who is TERRIBLE at delegating things – is this: How do you decide what to delegate? And what advice do you have for someone who is bad at identifying delegate-able things?
From one superhero to another: I look forward to your answers.
I delegate a LOT. In fact, given that most of the executive functioning labor at work in my subdepartment is currently on my shoulders, any simple task that can be delegated, I do. Even if it would be faster for me to do.
This was not always true; I’ve done a lot of, “it wouid be faster/done better if I just do it” in union with, “I don’t want to get too distant from the task and lose empathy for my staff” but given that I still have a lot to do at home and in my theatre life, anything I can delegate at work, I do!
